How Long Does It Take to Become an LPN?

When you are trying to figure out the answer to that question, you should know that there is a difference between becoming an LPN and becoming an RN. The two are not the same thing and there are some differences between both that make them different from each other.

Today you can become LPN by taking 6 months, 9 months, 10 months, or the usual 12 months LPN classes.

Click on this little script to find LPN nearest you.  Then after you submitted your request please expect LPN schools to bombard you with materials convincing you to register with them.  Pick the closest one and call and make sure their school is accredited.

You may have heard about getting an RN before thinking about getting an LPN. The reason for that is because you will have to get a certain amount of education before you can get to the level of being an LPN. This is because you have to take a nursing degree and then pass a test to become an LPN.

In order to become an LPN, you will have to go to a school that offers a nursing program, which can be online or in a traditional setting. Then you will have to go through an exam which will be one that is designed for you to be able to pass to become an LPN. If you do not pass that test and are not accepted into the school, then you can get an Associate’s Degree from the school that you want to go to in order to become an LPN.

Once you get your Associate’s Degree, you can then enroll in a program that will allow you to become an LPN. If you do this you will also be required to take the NCLEX-RN examination to become licensed as an LPN. After you have passed this exam you will be given a nursing license.

There is one more thing that you need to know about becoming an LPN. You will be working with many other students who will need to be taken care of and this is where the salary of the nursing job can add up. You may have to pay a little more money for this, but if you know that this is something that you want to do for the rest of your life, you will be glad that you went through the extra work to get it.

Knowing how long does it take to become an LPN will help you know what you need to look for in a school or program that you will be going to. So go ahead and do some research and see if you can find something that is going to work for you.
